The two negatives upfront. 1) There are no sinks in the toilets, only in the bedrooms. Which means you will brush your teeth while others sleep in the room. 2) There are some more permanent residents and that really breaks the whole hostel vibe. Some people are cooking in the kitchen like it’s their house, some chilling watching Netflix in the common room. In fact I met a couple of really nice homeless people trying to get back on their feet. Other than that, the location is not bad. Right next to the Hilton… yes there may be homeless but that’s San Francisco. The staff are really nice. Showers are hot and private. Street isn’t noisy for being in middle of a big city. The free breakfast is amazing! I was really surprised. I’ll be staying again.

Front desk are prejudiced. Told me that they refused to reserve the room for me, even though I already paid a reservation fee online ——because I didnt have my ID (I lost my wallet earlier in the week), but I did have my passport. They told me that my passport wasn’t an acceptable piece of identification — by whose standards? So after going back and forth about it— I finally got to the point of just canceling it and going elsewhere (because apparently my money is no good here), he must’ve noticed because he told me he would make an “exception” since I'm only staying for a day— gee, thanks. I paid and he kept looking at the receipt saying he was making sure it didn’t decline. Excuse me?? Why would it decline? What would give him the impression that my card would decline especially after I booked it online? I asked for a larger towel and condescendingly he said it was a dollar… okay?? Is there a problem? Anyway — showers are small, the water came out weird and the temperature was all over the place. It looked dingy… Breakfast was good. They put alot of thought into it. It was well received to start the day. Ive been to better. There are better.

I had a nice stay in this Hotel, the location is walkable and accessible to different transportation, the staff is friendly and try to do their best to provide a great service. I report a customer who smoked Marijuana in the room and they changed me to another room. I can’t stand that. And then in my new room, at 11pm another person checked in. And he kept going in and out the whole night. And he talked to himself disturbing people at night. ( I really thought he is a guy from the neighborhood LOL) Please enforce the rule. I love the breakfast. I give 5* because with the price I paid it’s very decent. Even though there is no heating in the room, LOL. I will surely be back

This is in Tenderloin area, which is one of the most sketchiest places I've been to. Hostel wasn't good either, there are plenty of better hostels nearby: Chapter San Francisco Way newer, nicer, cleaner hostel. They have curtains and way more space in room. Around same price

The location was really good, especially if you are on budget and want to stay somewhere in the center. Rooms were okay, no complain about cleanliness or noise around YET, the breakfast was soooo poor (low quality goods), I will add a picture what they offer as a breakfast and you will decide if you wanna have it or grab something from outside!
